Discover the Healing Power of Gentle Touch
Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral Therapy is a method of evaluation and treatment that utilizes a gentle, non-invasive touch to detect abnormal tensions and imbalances within the body. After identifying these strain patterns, therapist use a distinctive light-touch technique to release identified restrictions.
Craniosacral Rhythm
This rhythm is the movement of the cerebrospinal fluid as it courses around the brain and spinal cord. It is a direct reflection of the rhythm of the central nervous system. This rhythm can be felt anywhere on the body. It is conducted first via tissue that surrounds the brain and spinal cord and then through direct soft tissue connections throughout the rest of the body.
Treatment
By tapping into the rhythm we can directly communicate with the central nervous system and monitor the body’s state of irritability or resistance. In therapy we always stay in tuned to this rhythm and try to let it guide us by communicating how to gently allow the tissue to move without increasing its excitability or defensiveness. In this way the touch is very gentle, non-invasive, accurate and addresses the source of pain rather than the symptoms of the pain.
Relieve Pain
Craniosacral Therapy can address pain in any region of the body, whether in the head, face, neck, chest, arms, organs, nerves, back, hips, legs or feet. It can be from pain due to accidents, trauma, dental procedures, pre/post operative procedures and disease processes.
